Maharashtra Crosses 30,000-Mark, Mumbai's total arrived at 18,555 with 884 people testing positive in a single day.

Mumbai: Maharashtra has reported 1,606 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, taking the aggregate past the 30,000-mark, the state government information stated, including 67 people have passed because of the virus in a day. Mumbai's total arrived at 18,555, with 884 positive cases being reported on Saturday.

Among those killed on Saturday, Mumbai, the most exceedingly terrible hit city in the nation, reported 41 deaths. 696 people have died so far in the state capital.

26 of them were male and 15 female. 24 of the 41 patients had comorbidities, two were beneath the age of 40, 27 were over 60 while 12 were between the ages of 40 and 60.

Seven passings were reported in Pune, seven in Thane city, five in Aurangabad city, three in Jalgaon, two in Mira-Bhayandar and one each in Nashik and Solapur.

524 coronavirus patients were released today in the state. All out 7,088 patients have been restored of the illness up until this point.

There are 22,479 dynamic cases in Maharashtra starting at now.

In Mumbai, 238 patients were released from city emergency clinics during the day. 

Maharashtra's Industry Minister Subhash Desai told after a conference with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday that the lockdown will be stretched out in Mumbai and other significant urban areas.

"Taking a gander at the manner in which cases have been going up in enormous urban areas like Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Malegaon, Aurangabad, it appears the lockdown might be expanded. It should be done on account of the crisis. The administration focus is on the health of the people. The main focus is that. then obviously there is industry and economy," the minister said.

Maharashtra has requested a special economic package for Mumbai from the center. A few choices have been taken to get the economy on target, Mr Desai said.
